Big John and Miss Daisy, both Thoroughbreds, came to us from Lake County Animal Services in November of 2015. You could count every bone in their bodies and in the first week they went down repeatedly. They have since recovered remarkably well and are stuck to each other.
John, who is twenty-five despite his amazing physique, has no back teeth, requiring a special diet of grain and soaked alfalfa cubes for he is unable to process hay and hard treats. He enjoys showing his affection by smearing the wet alfalfa all over Daisy and anyone near by.
